Sunset Cliffs Engagement Session with Andrea and Ben in San Diego, California
Omaha to San Diego to San Francisco…
Meet Andrea and Ben. They are from Omaha, Nebraska and recently got engaged! They met in college 13 years ago and in that very town is where Ben got down on one knee after dinner and ice cream. Andrea thought maybe it would happen during their trip to California where they planned to drive from San Diego up the coast to San Francisco. When he proposed beforehand, she was completely caught off guard but this way, they were able to have their engagement session on the Golden Coast! Big shout out to TikTok for putting my video on Andrea’s fyp.
We juggled some ideas regarding location. Maybe wildflowers? Maybe a sandy beach? Can’t go wrong with either choice. You know what else you can’t go wrong with? Sunset Cliffs. It’s always at the top of the list of San Diego attractions for both out-of-towners and locals for one very good reason - it’s BEAUTIFUL. Golden hour especially is *chef’s kiss* but you could’ve guessed that.
Andrea and Ben were a little nervous to start but most people are. I always tell my couples that this is about them, not me or the camera. It’s a fun date where they can interact, goof off, make out, and just have a good time! That kind of authenticity will always be reflected in the final images. Of course I am there to guide them through the process, suggest prompts to get the ball rolling, and photograph all those special little moments shared during a session.
This stunning couple was a joy to work with. They were so warm, easygoing, trusting, and madly in love. Both me and my camera absolutely adored them. I am so excited for you both that you found your person and I would be happy to third wheel with y’all anytime. Congrats Andrea and Ben!
