Sunset Cliffs Engagement Session in Ocean Beach, San Diego
Five years down, forever to go.
I could gush about Kristina and Evan for dayssssss. They have been together for five years now and they are just getting started. They were planning on eloping to Hawaii in 2020 and then the coronavirus swooped in. They had to cancel their trip unfortunately, but now the wedding is back on and scheduled for 2022 yay! These images were taken one year before their new wedding date. Kristina and Evan live in Ocean Beach so why not shoot at Sunset Cliffs? It’s a classic! In 2019, we shot on the beach on an overcast day. In 2021, we were given another overcast day. Personally, I love overcast because of the creamy tones, contrast, and mood. At least it didn’t start raining! Although, that would’ve been cool too… come at me weather! I can take it!
I met Kristina and Evan two years ago at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Clearly the bonds made over beers and tacos are unbreakable because we are still going strong. I am honored to have met them both and to be trusted as their photographer. I shot their engagement photos in 2019 and comparing those images to these is incredible. It has been amazing seeing my photography evolve so much. It makes it even sweeter that my friends have gotten to witness it. I can only imagine how stellar our next shoots will be!
If you ask me, I think you should definitely treat you and your love to a couples session just sayin’. We would have a blast. Take the first step and contact me here.
Client Review
“My fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Mallory a few months ago when she took our engagement photos. It was a wonderful experience and the pictures that she took are some of my absolute favorites! I will cherish them forever. The experience was amazing from start to finish. Before the photoshoot, Mallory consulted with us on the types of photos that we were looking for and we decided to do some pictures that were more dressed up and some that were casual. The photoshoot itself was such a blast. Mallory had some suggestions on locations and poses, while allowing us to be ourselves and act naturally. I love that the photos capture our relationship so perfectly and there was a variety of really sweet moments as well some fun ones.
After the shoot, Mallory sent us a sneak peak of a few select photos and we received the rest of the edited photos in just a few days. She has such a great eye and I can honestly say that I love each and every photo that she captured. I could not recommend Mallory enough! Not only is she incredibly talented and professional, but she also such a sweet, kind human and a joy to work with.”
