Styled Wedding Portraits at Milagro Winery in Ramona, California

Styled Wedding Portrait Shoot by Gud Times Studio at Milagro Winery in San Diego, California (San Diego Wedding Photographer)

I am weeping over these intimate “wedding day” couples portraits under the weeping willow trees. This was a styled shoot designed and organized by Gabriel Conover, the owner of Gud Times Studio and a very talented photographer. Styled shoots are collaborative opportunities where vendors/artists come together to build portfolios, experiment, and learn. So one afternoon, a group of us creatives packed up our gear and made our way to Milagro Winery in Ramona, California for a full content day.

A Hidden Gem in Southern California

Milagro Winery is tucked into the rolling hills of Ramona, California, just east of San Diego. It’s all sun-drenched vineyards, ancient oaks, and stone buildings inspired by European dreamscapes. The quiet pond tucked under a canopy of willows is one of Southern California’s best-kept secrets. It’s the kind of venue that feels both luxurious and timeless where the mountains meet the countryside. Everywhere you look, you’ll find quiet, romantic spaces for portraits that feel cinematic and deeply intimate.

The Dreamiest Shoot

Reagann and Miguel absolutely owned this vintage editorial concept. We started at the dock beneath the weeping willow trees, where the light hit just right — soft, filtered, and almost cinematic. The color palette was rich and romantic: earthy neutrals, deep greens, and touches of gold that melted seamlessly into the landscape and the carefully selected florals by Nicole AKA Frances Loves Francis.

One of my favorite parts of this shoot was the veil. Draped over a sunhat, it gave whimsical vineyard bride vibes — playful, unexpected, and so visually stunning. Playing with it in the breeze became its own kind of art direction, turning every flick of fabric into something straight out of an editorial spread.

Reagann’s gown by Maison Christina Sfez (featured in Vogue France) was ethereal with the perfect hint of structure, paired beautifully with Miguel’s vintage-inspired brown and green suit and retro sunglasses. Together, they felt timeless, like a classic film set against California’s golden countryside.

Editorial Meets Real Life: My Approach to Wedding Photography

As a photographer, styled shoots are my playground, where I can experiment with light, composition, and storytelling without the pressure of a wedding timeline. At the end of the day, whether it’s a true wedding or a styled shoot, what I love most is capturing people exactly as they are. You don’t have to know what to do with your hands (I got you), you don’t have to fake anything, and you definitely don’t need to worry about “looking perfect.” You just get to show up, be yourselves, and I’ll handle the rest.

I bring a mix of editorial direction and a documentary eye. My goal is to make you actually enjoy being in front of the camera, and to walk away with photos that feel like you. If you’re planning your wedding or want to celebrate your relationship with a photoshoot, let’s make it happen! Reach out here to plan your session.
