“You want me to be your wife?!”

Needless to say, Sarah was very surprised. She thought this day was going to be like any other Saturday. She and Atticus would wake up and prepare to take Bruce on their normal route around Fiesta Island Dog Park. Little did she know, Atticus had a ring in his pocket and had been planning this perfect moment for months.

I met with Atticus ahead of time to go over the plan. This is highly recommended as it put his mind at ease and relieved some of my nerves as well. We surveyed the area and this path through wildflowers seemed perfectly picturesque. Now where the heck was I going to hide? Thankfully, there were two two trees nearby to choose from. Since I know Sarah and Atticus personally, disguising myself was even more crucial.

The timing went off without a hitch. Atticus texted me when they arrived and let me know what they were wearing so I could spot them easier. They began their usual stroll and then Atticus suggested they take a detour down this flower littered path. Down the path they go and suddenly, Atticus gets down on one knee. Tears were shed and hugs were shared. Passersby clapped in excitement, but Bruce couldn’t have cared less. He had friends to chase and butts to sniff.

I approached slowly up the path while maintaining a safe distance to avoid any intrusion on their moment together. Atticus then pointed at me and I hear, “MALLORY?!” She asked how long I knew about this and who else knew and she was bewildered to learn that EVERYONE knew. Friends, parents, photographer. Oh and by the way, she said yes.

It is such an honor to be chosen to capture such a monumental milestone. It is a gift to witness two people saying yes to forever with one another. What Atticus and Sarah have is what everyone strives for. This is the love that people dream of. The universe was definitely on their side. I am so glad I was able to be present and capture this series of images for them to always remember the day they got engaged. Now comes the really fun part… GETTING MARRIED!

Have you met the love of your life? Ready to put a ring on it? Let’s chat!

Client Review

“I wish I could give Mallory more than five stars as she exceeded my expectations in every way. I hired Mallory to take candid photos of my proposal and she really nailed it.
I contacted her and she was incredibly responsive and clear about how the process would work. She actually took the time to meet me at the proposal location prior to the actual day to make sure we had the locations correct. She did a great job at staying hidden during the proposal and then revealed herself afterwards for more photos.
Mallory was so professional and more importantly, the photos and editing she put into the photos is truly amazing. I couldn't be happier with the shots. As a huge bonus she finished the editing incredibly fast, and provided about twice the number of photos I was expecting. I really couldn't be happier and can’t recommend her enough. Thank you Mallory!”
