That’s exactly what Alex did—she booked herself a birthday photoshoot and the pictures are everythingggggg.
We found the perfect studio in downtown San Diego on Peerspace—a sun-soaked space with seamless backdrops, chic decor, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Basically, a photographer’s dream. She brought a cake (complete with numbered candles, obviously), a bouquet of red roses, and a lineup of killer outfits. The vibe? Fun, flirty, and confident.

Before our session, Alex sent over a Pinterest board filled with inspiration—lots of natural movement, genuine laughter, and just the right amount of editorial edge. For outfits, she brought a perfect mix of flirty and formal with casual and cool. Thankfully we were able to squeeze in all three outfits because all of them deserved their moment.
We played with poses, switched up the lighting, and just let the session unfold naturally. No forced smiles, no awkward stiff moments—just Alex being Alex.

I totally get it—preparing for a photo session can be nerve-wracking (which is so normal, I promise).
